- ICA Gruppen focuses on food and health, and we are constantly looking for new ways to contribute to better public health. With this project, ICA is testing customer interest to meet dieticians through the care provider Min Doktor, to get expert advice on how a better diet can help a healthier everyday life and prevent lifestyle-related diseases, says Per Strömberg, CEO at ICA Gruppen.
The pilot project runs for eight weeks and is a collaboration between ICA Gruppen's innovation hub ICAx and Min Doktor. Customers will get appointments with licensed dietitians, with an academic degree, leaning on current evidence, WHO guidelines and the Nordic Nutrition Recommendations.
- A person is affected by what they eat, and diet is connected to several health conditions, including type 2 diabetes and stomach problems such as IBS and gluten intolerance. As a digital care provider, we can, through our availability and competence, contribute with preventive efforts to achieve major public health gains. We hope to be able to demonstrate this in the pilot project with ICA, says Henrik Kangro, Medical Specialist and Director at Min Doktor.
How it works
The patient log on with BankID in the Min Doktor app or at mindoktor.se and then filles out a questionnaire prepared by a dietitian. The patient is then contacted by a dietitian and receives professional dietary advice based on their needs.
