Examples of activities
At ICA, through openness and transparency, we take active responsibility for how production of the products we sell impacts people, animals and the environment.
Selling local goods is a way for us to offer diversity, support small-scale production and local jobs. But also a way to highlight genuine food craftsmanship and a sense of local ingredients. Close production can also mean reduced transport needs and less burden on our environment. To promote agriculture in our home markets, we collaborate with others, including the Federation of Swedish Farmers.
In order to expand and broaden the locally produced range and increase sales of Swedish food, ICA Sweden has an order portal with assortments from local suppliers. The portal enables and facilitates business relationships between local suppliers and individual ICA stores and is available to ICA retailers and suppliers throughout the country.
The ICA Foundation has been established to strengthen the community engagement that has always been an important part of ICA.
Just like the vision of making everyday life easier for customers, we want it to be easy to be yourself and constantly develop. ICA's values differences and believes in the potential of all employees. The core of our success is our diverse backgrounds and experiences.
